Together with the major UK specialised veterinary and agriculture organisations, we are building a community of Farm Vet Champions, to establish a concerted approach towards good antimicrobial stewardship in practices and on farms.
We need you to help us spread the word to your colleagues. Together we can make a difference.
Become a Farm Vet Champion
Access our free Farm Vet Champions CPD course on our Learn platform where you can:
- Pledge to become a Farm Vet Champion and increase your knowledge on antimicrobial stewardship.
- Learn about the legal use of veterinary medicines, policies, One Health approaches to antibiotic prescribing, vet-farmer communication skills and behaviour change.
- Choose technical species-specific modules that are relevant to your area of work. Share our resources with your colleagues and clients.
With over 20 hours of free on-demand CPD, these materials will be invaluable to all farm-associated veterinary professionals as well as your wider practice teams.
Measure your progress
Once you have signed up to our Learn platform, you can use our free SMART goals tool to set and track your Smart, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Timebound goals individually or as a team.
The SMART goals tool provides additional help to veterinary teams, to turn their learning into action and help them manage their antimicrobial use in practice.
Celebrate your progress
The RCVS Knowledge Antimicrobial Stewardship Award showcases practical examples where teams are improving responsible antimicrobial prescribing using recognised quality improvement methods.

I have found Farm Vet Champions very engaging, especially the way it covers species-specific learning. The set out allows it to be accessible to fit in with the busiest of schedules as well as being relevant and important to everyone in farm animal practice.”
